Returns Center

Newgistics’ Returns Center is an online portal for managing the merchandise return process, starting with the customer’s initial return request. In addition, Returns Center provides your customers with greater influence and visibility during their return via self-service, which leads to increased customer loyalty and reduced call center contacts. To provide a seamless online user experience, Returns Center can be configured to support your branding and business processes.

Returns Center puts the following services at your customer’s or your CSR’s fingertips:

  • On-line creation of dynamic return labels, including SmartLabel, FedEx and DHL.
  • Up-to-date tracking of return packages.
  • Automated, on-line Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
  • Multi-carrier optimization of return transportation options.

Returns Center is supported by a customizable business rules engine so you can leverage our intelligence to further enhance your business, your way.  Returns Center is provided in an Application Service Provider (ASP) environment where Newgistics provides hosting and support for the application, so there’s little IT work required to get started.

Online Return Label creation and tracking

Self Service
Returns Center enables your customers to initiate the returns process online by entering order and return information to create intelligent return labels online and print on their home printers. Each return label is dynamically created and associated with each customer’s individual return data. The application also allows customers to track the status of returns and opt-in for return status email notifications.

Customer Service
Your customer service representatives (CSRs) can use Returns Center to generate and deliver return labels using email or postcards, track a customer's return label return, and send return-status notifications via email or postcards. CSR's can also utilize Returns Center to generate complimentary SmartLabels in appeasement situations, eliminating the need for expensive and inefficient call tags, which require ground pickup of a return package.

Online RMA and Transportation Optimization

Returns Center enables an online RMA process that supports return initiation and authorization based on your business rules, such as order date, item value, serial number or return reason.  Users choose which items they would like to return and the system validates the return request against the pre-configured business rules to determine return eligibility.

Using your business rules, Returns Center will determine the most efficient way to ship the product to its destination. Returns Center supports return label creation, printing and tracking for leading parcel carriers. And the entire process is automated from the time your customer enters their return information into Returns Center.
